Scope: Form:This specification covers hydraulic fluid resistant Butadiene-Acrylonitrile (NBR) rubber used to produce seals, gaskets and other molded products.1.2Application:These products have been used typically for contact with petroleum based hydraulic fluids conforming to MIL-PRF-5606 and MIL-PRF-6083 and Type 1 and Type 2 shock strut fluids, but usage is not limited to such applications. Each application should be considered separately. This butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber (NBR) has a service temperature range of -65 to +275 茂聜掳F (-54 to +135 茂聜掳C) for hydraulic fluids and -65 to +175 茂聜掳F (-54 to +80 茂聜掳C) for shock strut fluids.1.3Safety - Hazardous Materials:While the materials, methods, applications and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards involved in such use. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure familiarity with the safe and proper use of any hazardous materials and to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all personnel involved.
